Reading Abbey Revealed
A gallery to complement the Abbey Quarter message to reveal the hidden history of Reading Abbey and the prominent role that Reading played across 1000 years of history.
Our Approach
As part of the creation of the new Abbey Quarter, a gallery was developed presenting an overview of the Abbey story. Content included the building of the abbey, daily life for monks and townsfolk, the Dissolution and the occupation of the ruins during the English Civil War. All stories were supported from the museums rich object collection.
